The Crew first launched in December 2014 but, almost a decade later, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/delisting-the-crew-makes-sense-preventing-it-from-ever-being-played-again-does-not\">was pulled from storefronts and taken offline<\/a>, meaning even those who paid full price for the open world racer could no longer play it.<\/p>\n<p>Fans responded with frustration and anger at the decision, but also worry what the policy meant for the two games still available.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We heard your concerns about access to The Crew games,&#8221; Ubisoft said. &#8220;Today, we want to express our commitment to the future of The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest. We can confirm an offline mode to ensure long term access to both titles, stay tuned for more news in the next months.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/2018\/06\/29\/the-crew-2-review#:~:text=There's%20undoubtedly%20something%20still%20charming,absent%20PvP%20is%20a%20bummer.\">The Crew 2<\/a> being shut down seemed a much more likely prospect beforehand, as it launched in 2018 and is therefore six years old. The Crew Motorfest arriving in 2023 also adds to its obscurity.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/the-crew-motorfest-review\">In our 7\/10 review of that game<\/a>, IGN said: &#8220;The Crew Motorfest is a robust racer with a confident sense of style, but its smaller map lacks life, its multiplayer isn&#8217;t really worth the wait, and its omnipresent microtransaction opportunities are still tedious.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>Ryan Dinsdale is an IGN freelance reporter.
