And while Cyberpunk 2077 is a known quantity at this point, and CD Projekt has told fans not to expect any more DLC, fans are calling on the developer to change its mind and release more DLC \u2014 just like The Witcher 3 is getting.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, CD Projekt confirmed that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/a-great-foundation-for-our-upcoming-projects-in-this-universe-cd-projekt-hails-cyberpunk-2077-as-it-hits-an-incredible-40-million-copies-sold\">Cyberpunk 2077 had sold an incredible 40 million copies<\/a> since its December 2020 launch, up 5 million from November 2025. It&#8217;s received one expansion so far, 2023&#8217;s Phantom Liberty starring Idris Elba.<\/p>\n<p>In May, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/amid-reports-of-a-secret-dlc-for-the-witcher-3-cd-projekt-rules-out-further-content-for-cyberpunk-2077\"><u>CD Projekt insisted it had \u201cno plans\u201d for further Cyberpunk 2077 DLCs or expansions<\/u><\/a>, disappointing fans who were still clamouring for more content despite the age of the game. It suggests fans will have to wait for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/games\/cyberpunk-2\"><u>Cyberpunk 2<\/u><\/a> to return to CD Projekt\u2019s much-loved dystopian universe. And the wait looks like it&#8217;s going to be significant; Cyberpunk 2 is further behind The Witcher 4, and CD Projekt co-CEO Micha\u0142 Nowakowski has suggested Cyberpunk 2 won\u2019t be out until at least 2030.<\/p>\n<section data-transform=\"ignvideo\" data-slug=\"cyberpunk-2077-everything-major-added-since-launch\" data-loop=\"\"><\/section>\n<p>On July 5, Cyberpunk 2077\u2019s Steam peak concurrent player count surpassed 100,000, the highest it\u2019s been since 2023. \u201cHave fun my dears, hope it\u2019s going to keep you hooked, entertained, and inspired,\u201d Pawe\u0142 Sasko, associate game director on Cyberpunk 2, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PaweSasko\/status\/2073823620917321772\">tweeted in response<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>With this new player surge, fans are calling on CD Projekt to release new content. \u201cYeah, we are gonna need that second DLC CDPR!\u201d reads the title of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/cyberpunkgame\/comments\/1uo32hf\/yeah_we_are_gonna_need_that_second_dlc_cdpr\/\">a reddit thread<\/a> with 12,000 upvotes. \u201cHonestly, they need some money so give us a dlc so we could give you more money!\u201d one fan joked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would die if this game got another DLC (after I play it of course),\u201d another added. \u201cThis is one of my favorite games of all time, it\u2019s also one of the saddest cases of cut content from a game which is exactly why I want them to add more stuff. I\u2019ve never spent as much time in any game looking around outside the map, and searching up cut content to see what this game was supposed to be. I don\u2019t even know what the DLC would be about but damn it do I want another more than any other game right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a slap in the face The Witcher 3 is getting another DLC,\u201d another, more serious fan, said. \u201cTo any Witcher fans reading I don\u2019t hate the game for it but bro why is an 11-year old game with heaps of DLC still getting new shit and the newer title isn\u2019t? I really wish they\u2019d revisit some of the cut content and add it via DLC\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m just wrapping up my first playthrough. 100%ing it at around 220 hours. It\u2019s incredible. A new DLC would wreck my plans to move onto my backlog, but I\u2019d f***ing take it in a second lol,\u201d another fan said.<\/p>\n<section data-transform=\"slideshow\" data-slug=\"every-cd-projekt-red-game-in-development\" data-value=\"every-cd-projekt-red-game-in-development\" data-type=\"slug\" data-caption=\"\"><\/section>\n<p>Some suspect CD Projekt will indeed release new Cyberpunk 2077 DLC eventually, as it has done with The Witcher 3, but closer to the release of a new Cyberpunk game. For now, CD Projekt\u2019s official line is no new Cyberpunk 2077 DLC is in the works.
