But he\u2019s tweaking. He\u2019s screaming. He tries to come back in with the knife, so I bodyslam him and hold him until the police come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Koustics claimed that the player landed on their own weapon during the incident, bloodying up his clothing, which Koustics showed off during his Twitch stream.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI put him in a full choke,\u201d Koustics relayed. \u201c&#8230;I\u2019m mad because this was my rank up game, too. This dude cost me 14 LP.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Firsthand accounts of the incident were subsequently posted on social media, with collegiate League of Legends player \u2018Shogo\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/shogolol\/status\/2068470358743687296?s=20\">sharing footage<\/a> from inside the bar, showing the flashing lights of police vehicles just outside the establishment.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">NYC is so crazy like wdym an apex legends player got mad at the game, started breaking stuff, got kicked out, pulled a knife on the staff and accidentally stabbed himself as he got tackled onto the ground?? <br \/>This city isn\u2019t real <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/mIshyPkPyv\">pic.twitter.com\/mIshyPkPyv<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Shogo (@shogolol) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/shogolol\/status\/2068470358743687296?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 20, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Koustics himself also <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Koustics\/status\/2067783688687907314?s=20\">posted photos<\/a> directly after police arrived on the scene, including the bloody aftermath of the ordeal. \u201cDon\u2019t miss the stream,\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n<p>Koustics told us that the player had gotten upset while playing Apex Legends, which ultimately escalated into the dangerous scene that played out in front of the gaming lounge.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If you feel like a game is affecting you that much, you always have the choice to step away,&#8221; he advised. &#8220;If the games are going that badly, then maybe try something less stressful.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Lmao don&#8217;t miss the stream (Stopped a dude with a knife) <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/N6T4dUKrv6\">pic.twitter.com\/N6T4dUKrv6<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Koustics (@Koustics) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Koustics\/status\/2067783688687907314?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 19, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Koustics is a popular figure within the fighting game community, known for commentating <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/games\/dragon-ball-fighterz\">Dragon Ball FighterZ<\/a> tournaments. He\u2019s also a Sumo Wrestler, who even appeared on a November 2025 episode of SNL for a comedy skit.<\/p>\n<p>He credited his Sumo skills for helping him take down the upset player, saying it helped him keep his cool during the stressful situation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I kept my cool,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Everyone got out safe and sound, and no one got hurt too badly. It ended up being a funnier story than it could have been.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Koustics teaches full-time in the Bronx, where he instructs his students in robotics, coding, and even gaming.
