Prior to his brief initial tenure as director on the Splinter Cell remake he contributed as a game designer on a variety of projects, including Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Assassin\u2019s Creed: Unity, Far Cry Primal, Far Cry 4, and Far Cry 5.<\/p>\n<section data-transform=\"ignvideo\" data-slug=\"splinter-cell-official-celebrating-20-years-of-stealth-action-featurette\" data-loop=\"\"><\/section>\n<p>Grivel rejoins Ubisoft after a stint at Ridgeline Games working on the campaign mode for Battlefield 6, until EA abruptly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/ea-shuttering-marcus-lehtos-studio\"><u>shuttered the studio in early 2024<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Splinter Cell remake, which was first announced way back in late 2021, has been skulking around in the dark for many years now. Little information about the game has made its way into the light during that time, although we do know <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/splinter-cell-remake-will-update-the-story-for-a-modern-day-audience\"><u>the story of the 2002 original is set to be updated<\/u><\/a> to be \u201cmore authentic and believable\u201d to a modern-day audience.<\/p>\n<section data-transform=\"divider\"><\/section>\n<p><em>Luke is a Senior Editor on the IGN reviews team.
