Details about the hot fix, which were published in <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BattlefieldComm\/status\/1991168660103180339?s=20\">a post on X\/Twitter<\/a>, highlight a fix for those pesky defibrillators, as well as tweaks to the new limited-time Sabotage game mode and additional challenges changes.<\/p>\n<section data-transform=\"ignvideo\" data-slug=\"battlefield-redsec-official-california-resistance-season-1-gameplay-trailer\" data-loop=\"\"><\/section>\n<p>Players took to social media to complain of inconsistent defibrillators following the launch of the Battlefield 6 California Resistance update yesterday. Where previous versions of the game had players using the Support gadget to slide and dive in for last-second saves, changes brought about by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/battlefield-6-update-1120-patch-notes-include-aim-assist-tweaks-and-bloom-adjustments-as-season-1-continues\"><u>update 1.1.2.0<\/u><\/a> instead asked players to slowly and precisely use the tool if they wanted to revive their friends. It\u2019s resulted only in confusion, as the demanding requirements left teammates with what has been perceived as either a new bug or a bizarre nerf without any explanation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt first I thought it was just a pointless range nerf,\u201d one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Battlefield\/comments\/1p0yjlv\/comment\/npn1bdq\/?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=web3x&amp;utm_name=web3xcss&amp;utm_term=1&amp;utm_content=share_button\">comment<\/a> says, \u201cbut it&#8217;s also <em>much<\/em> more inconsistent and easy to get bodies bugged into a state where the defib doesn&#8217;t work at all, and you have to grab \/ drag them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOverall, I hate it, but that second part of it makes me think it wasn&#8217;t really intentional.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Battlefield 6 team didn\u2019t clarify what caused faulty defibrillators to pollute matches, but it sounds like they didn\u2019t like the change either. Today\u2019s hotfix reverts the gadget back to how it was before yesterday\u2019s update by increasing hit-boxes and range.<\/p>\n<section data-transform=\"slideshow\" data-slug=\"battlefield-6-season-1-screenshots\" data-value=\"battlefield-6-season-1-screenshots\" data-type=\"slug\" data-caption=\"\"><\/section>\n<p>Meanwhile, Sabotage game mode has had its AFK kick timer increased from 60 seconds to 180 seconds. Bot backfilling for the mode has also been temporarily disabled and will be reintroduced in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, there\u2019s challenges, which have benefited from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/battlefield-6-gets-major-overhaul-of-challenges-and-assignments-with-significant-reductions-to-challenge-requirements-available-now\"><u>frequent adjustments<\/u><\/a> as BF Studios continues to fine-tune its progression system. Today\u2019s Battlefield 6 update targets clarity while reducing requirements for a few of the harder-to-achieve challenges. So far, Season 1 has introduced two new maps, with the most recent, Eastwood, arriving as part of the California Resistance mid-season update yesterday. Another content update called Winter Offensive will follow December 9.<\/p>\n<p>BF Studios has consistently delivered updates aimed at tackling fan feedback in the month since its launch.
