Some big news in the world of Mortal Kombat today: Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection is now confirmed to be getting physical editions, and it includes the much-requested Mortal Kombat Trilogy.<\/p>\n

Digital Eclipse and Atari announced the rumored inclusion of Mortal Kombat Trilogy, the fan-favorite 1996 entry that brought every playable character from the 2D Mortal Kombat series into one single game.<\/p>\n

But we also have confirmation of physical editions across all platforms except PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, courtesy of Limited Run Games. The physical versions of the game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the digital version of the game will be on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch.<\/p>\n

The Nintendo versions ship with a game card containing the full game data, which will be welcome news to those Switch 2 owners who have criticized the spate of game-key card releases on Nintendo\u2019s new console.<\/p>\n

The Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection physical editions include:<\/h2>\n

Standard Edition<\/strong> – Base game available for pre-order on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch for $49.99, and on Nintendo Switch 2 for $59.99 on Atari.com and at major retailers. The Nintendo versions will ship with a game card containing the full game data. A standard edition for Xbox Series X and S is only available for pre-order starting today at Atari.com and limitedrungames.com for $49.99. <\/p>\n

As a special Day One bonus, all Standard Edition pre-orders will include an exclusive slipcover – available only to fans who pre-order.<\/p>\n

Deluxe Edition<\/strong> – Includes the Standard Edition plus a Steelbook, mini marquees, magnet, poster, lenticular card, arcade flyers, and arcade cabinet cards. The Deluxe Edition is available for pre-order on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch for $69.99 and Nintendo Switch 2 for $79.99 on Atari.com and at major retailers.<\/p>\n

Kollector\u2019s Edition<\/strong> – Designed by Limited Run Games, this edition includes the Standard Edition along with a Goro controller holder statue, commemorative arcade token, hardcover art and lore book, and a pin set. All items are housed in a special, numbered collector\u2019s box. This premium edition is available for pre-order on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC for $149.99. The Kollector\u2019s Edition is available for pre-order on Atari.com and Limited Run Games starting today through August 31.<\/p>\n

The Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection Standard and Deluxe editions ship on December 12, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC pre-orders. The shipment timing for the Kollector\u2019s Edition will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n

This week, the Xbox App spilled the beans on Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection<\/u><\/a>\u2019s September 30 digital release date.<\/p>\n
